Dan McManmon, President

President

Dan McManmon grew up in western Massachusetts, alongside four sisters, six foster brothers, and an adopted brother. His father, Michael McManmon, founded CIP in 1984 and was diagnosed with Asperger’s syndrome later in life. Dan’s upbringing profoundly shaped his understanding and empathy for those with Autism, ADHD, and related learning differences.

Michael McManmon, Ed.D.

Founder

Michael McManmon, Ed.D. founded the College Internship Program (CIP) in 1984. He received a B.A. in English from Mt. St. Mary’s College in Maryland, a Masters in Counseling from Shippensburg University, a Masters in Human Development from the University of Kansas (through a grant from the National Institute of Mental Health), and a Doctorate in Special Education from the University of Nevada.

Michele Ramsay, Ed.D.

Director of Program Operations

Dr. Michele Ramsay is a highly passionate and dedicated professional supporting divergent learners as they transition into adulthood. With a Doctorate in Educational Leadership and Teaching, she has dedicated over 25 years to empowering students and advocating for their educational needs.

Jodi Drury, Ph.D.

Director of Curriculum and Training

Jodi has worked in the field of special education for over 20 years as a K-12 teacher and administrator, and as an adjunct professor at local universities and colleges.

Kevin Broeckling, Ed.D.

National Admissions Director

Dr. Kevin Broeckling has been a higher education administrator focusing on student services, enrollment, and leadership during his more than 20-year career. He believes that education can change lives and has enjoyed helping young people access and complete degrees in higher education.

Crystal Hayes, M.Ed.

Program Director

Crystal has worked in the field of education for 21 years as a paraprofessional, teacher, liaison, advisor, and administrator. Crystal joined CIP Long Beach as a Student Advisor in 2015 and has since supported the CIP community.

Camille Formanek, B.A.

Office Manager

Camille Formanek has spent the last decade working in public education as a School Office Manager she supported a Title I Elementary School with a Moderate-Severe Special Education.

Bao Vang Ruiz, M.S, LPCC

Mental Health Therapist

Belle is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) with five years of experience in the mental health field. She previously found success at Cristo Rey De La Salle East Bay High School in Oakland, where she strengthened the school’s counseling program by creating formal processes for its multidisciplinary team.

Misty Wagner, B.A.

Assistant Program Director

Misty understands the unique challenges and strengths of each individual that allow her to guide students on their journey toward independence.

Karen Sok, B.S.

Academic Coach

Karen has been working with students for over a decade. Her professional experience includes working at Long Beach City College as a mentor for Project RISE and as an achievement coach for Promise Pathways.

Diana Bell, M.A., B.A.

Student Advisor

Diana Bell has worked in the fields of education and workforce development, most recently as a special projects coordinator supporting apprenticeship and pre-apprenticeship programs. She brings extensive experience working with diverse learners, developing individualized plans, and supporting young adults as they move toward greater independence.

Matthew Amaya, B.A.

Student Advisor

Matthew has worked in the field of Student Advising since 2023. He previously found success working for the Bob Murphy Access Center at California State University, Long Beach, where he specialized in providing personalized, one-on-one counseling to autistic students.

Alex Ryan

Alumni Mentor / Social Mentor

Alex Ryan has worked in the field of Social Skills for six years as an alumni mentor. Alex has found previous success in helping new students adjust to the program successfully.

Taylor Kielman, B.A.

Student Support Specialist

Taylor Kielman has worked in the field of student affairs since 2019, with experience in supporting a diverse array of students in both academics and student life.

Hannah Hohl, M.Ed., BCBA

Career Coordinator

Hannah Hohl has worked in the field of autism education for over 10 years as a Behavior Analyst, Classroom Instructor, Academic Strategist, and Adjunct Professor.

Hunter Erlach

Social Skills Coordinator

Hunter has worked in the field of education for two years, serving as a music teacher, mentor, and Social Skills Coordinator. He has a proven track record in helping students thrive.

Tabitha Preciado, M.A.

Student Services Specialist

Tabitha has worked at a residential rehabilitation center for teens for about 3 years helping individuals find new joys in life and learn about being accountable for their actions.

Lynnsie Naulls, B.A.

Head Student Advisor

Lynnsie has worked several years in the education system as a Substitute teacher, Home School teacher, and Speech and Debate Coach.

Carina Clendenin, B.A.

Academic Coordinator

Carina has worked in the field of education for over a decade as a summer camp instructor and director, preschool teacher, behavior therapist, curriculum director, and university admissions counselor.

Marina Atef, B.A.

Student Support Specialist

Marina Atef has worked in the field of psychology and mental health since 2021, with experience supporting children, adolescents, and adults across diverse settings. She has served as a Behavior Technician, Research Assistant, and Youth Mentor, gaining expertise in developmental psychology, holistic care, and culturally responsive practices.

Jacob Eastlick, B.A.

Academic Coach

Jacob has worked in the field of student affairs for over 5 years as a Resident Assistant at UCLA and an Assistant Program Manager at the Borgen Project.
Student advisors serve as case managers and liasons with families, keeping them up-to-date regarding their student's progress.

CIP’s core curriculum includes an emphasis on individualized support. Students with autism, asperger’s, and other learning disabilities benefit from working one on one with student advisors on goal setting, self-assessment, building self-advocacy skills and dealing with day-to-day issues.
