Sheltered by rolling hills and the San Francisco Bay, this environmentally conscious city is surrounded by a beautiful landscape and an abundance of recreational and community-based activities.
CIP Berkeley offers support at local 2-year, 4-year and university options. Students can pursue degrees in fields such as Social Work, Computer Information Systems, Multimedia and Design, Criminal Justice, Culinary Arts, Early Childhood Education, Animal Care, Engineering and Fine Arts.
CIP Berkeley has an experienced, professional staff with strong educational backgrounds and solid experience working with young adults with Asperger’s, ADHD and other Learning Differences.
The moderate climate, superb park system and access to the ocean and mountains make Berkeley a great city for outdoor recreation. CIP is located in the heart of downtown Berkeley providing easy access to all that the East Bay offers.
Students reside in fully-furnished apartments located within a couple blocks of the CIP offices and classrooms. Living with one apartment-mate, each student has their own bedroom and shares the bathroom(s), kitchen and living room.
Each student’s interests are explored and developed through volunteering, internships and job placements. Student internships and jobs have included places like Alta Bates Hospital, The Oakland Zoo, The YMCA, Berkeley Public Library, and The Animal Rescue Foundation; just to name a few.
CIP Berkeley helps prepare young adults on the autism spectrum, with ADHD, and other learning differences for the world of work. From resume development to job coaching, CIP’s career department supports students while they pursue their interests.
