Unique settings, diverse college options, and staff committed to students’ success

CIP’s comprehensive postsecondary transition programs help young adults on the autism spectrum or with learning differences fund success in college, employment, and life.

Each CIP Center is located in a safe and comfortable community setting, has a range of college and vocational options, and specialized staff that are passionate about each student’s personal success. When choosing a CIP Center location, families are encouraged to speak with our National Admissions Office to help determine which center(s) may provide the best fit.

CIP Berkshire Lee, Massachusetts

The town of Lee in the Berkshires of Massachusetts is known for outdoor activities, fall foliage, a farm-to-table cuisine, and thriving arts amenities. CIP Berkshire is located in close proximity to Boston and New York City.

Opened: 1984

Setting: Small town with high-quality cultural and recreational attractions and easy access to NYC and Boston

Housing: 2 to 4 bedroom apartments within houses located just a short walk from CIP

Unique Offerings: Visual & Performing Arts; our own Spectrum Playhouse and Good Purpose Gallery, strong vocational opportunities

CIP Brevard Melbourne, Florida

Brevard County Florida has over 250 miles of protected wildlife refuges, a comfortable sub-tropical climate, beautiful area beaches and much more at students fingertips. Melbourne is just ten minutes from beautiful beaches of Florida and close to Orlando and Miami areas.

Opened: 2004

Setting: Directly across from Eastern Florida State College. Easy access to area beaches, banks, grocers, and restaurants

Housing: 2 to 4 bedroom apartments within houses and apartment complex’s located in close proximity.

Unique Offerings: Employment partnerships with The Brevard Zoo and other animal care organizations, Melbourne Public Library, and access to many colleges and university options

CIP Bloomington Bloomington, Indiana

Home to Indiana University, Downtown Bloomington, Indiana is a diverse and welcoming college town in the Midwest. Fondly referred to as “B-Town”, Bloomington offers world-class educational opportunities and amenities, a unique arts and local food scene, and a healthy dose of Hoosier hospitality

Setting: An urban “Big 10” college town with vibrant downtown, arts and culture, and plentiful employer options

Housing: Modern 2 or 3 bedroom apartments located directly above CIP, just one block from downtown Bloomington, the Bloomingfoods Co-op, and the “B-Line” bike and walking trail

Unique Offerings: Voted one of the top 50 places to live by Men’s Journal Magazine, students can participate in a multitude of IU Bloomington events and social clubs, and Ivy Tech Community College and IU Bloomington offer college options for all learners

CIP Berkeley Berkeley, California​

Sheltered by rolling hills and the San Francisco Bay, this environmentally conscious city is surrounded by a beautiful landscape and an abundance of recreational and community based activities. Berkeley is a unique and accepting community that prides itself on diversity

Setting: An urban, unique, small and safe city with top-ranking university benefits and easy access to all that San Francisco, Oakland and surrounding cities provide

Housing: Modern 2 bedroom apartments with private access just a short walk to CIP

Unique Offerings: Easy access to area colleges, the BART train, San Francisco, and downtown Oakland. Just a few blocks from UC Berkeley and surrounding amenities

CIP Long Beach Long Beach, California

A coastal city with close proximity to Los Angeles, Long Beach, California is known for it’s high-quality college and university options and fun activities and locales. Long Beach is a progressive city atmosphere with “beachy” laid back vibe

Opened: 2011

Setting: Long Beach is the 26th biggest US city and is only 30 minutes from Los Angeles

Housing: Students reside in 2 or 3 bedroom apartments within a block or two of CIP

Unique Offerings: Located in the entertainment and fashion industry centers of the world, the Cal State University educational system offers an abundance of options and opportunities academically
