Carina has worked in the field of education for more than 15 years, supporting students from early childhood through college. Throughout her career, she has served as a preschool teacher, behavior therapist, program director, and university admissions counselor.
Carina found success supporting young children through one-on-one work using applied behavior analysis (ABA), while collaborating closely with families to help clients achieve individualized goals. She also worked extensively with high school and college students, developing a training camp curriculum focused on building self-esteem, confidence, and student success.
In 2022, Carina joined CIP Long Beach as a Student Advisor and has since supported the community in several roles, including Summer Program Coordinator, Academic Coordinator, and, currently, National Enrollment Specialist. In her current role, she guides prospective students and families through the admissions process from start to finish, helping ensure they feel informed, prepared, and confident throughout the journey.
Carina earned her bachelor’s degree in Child Development and Family Studies from California State University, Long Beach. A longtime resident of Long Beach, she lives with her husband and young daughter. Outside of work, Carina enjoys spending time at the beach, traveling, and exploring new forms of exercise. She is also a former dancer and choreographer.
