






The Brevard Center is also located in Brevard County, the “High-Tech Capital of the Southeast”. Local technical employers include Northrop Grumman Melbourne Systems, Intersil Corporation, Rockwell Collins, Inc. Wuesthoff Health System, Florida Today Newspaper and Holmes Regional Medical Center.
Brevard County has over 250 miles of protected wildlife refuges, a comfortable sub-tropical climate, beautiful area beaches and much more at students fingertips!
Students with learning differences who choose to pursue a course of study at over 13 local colleges, universities or vocational and tech programs receiving individualized support and direction from CIP’s academic support team.
Students can pursue degrees in a wide range of career and technical programs and in fields such as Business Administration, Computer Information Systems, Criminal Justice, Culinary Arts, Early Childhood Education, Animal Care, Engineering and Fine Arts. CIP Brevard is located directly across from Brevard Community College.
CIP Brevard helps prepare young adults with Asperger’s, autism, ADHD and other learning differences for the world of work. From resume development to job coaching, CIP’s career department supports students while they pursue their interests.
CIP Brevard assists students in career preparation and in building valuable employment skills. Each student’s interests are explored and developed through volunteering, internships and job placements. Internship and job placements are highly individualized and have included animal care, performing arts and theater, sports, natural resources and wildlife conservation.
Students reside in fully furnished apartments located adjacent to Brevard Community College and within a short walk to the CIP offices and classrooms. Living with one to four apartment-mates, each student has their own bedroom and shares the bathroom(s), kitchen and living room. A central courtyard provides the perfect place for students to socialize with each other in the evenings and on weekends.
Independent living supports offered within apartments include menu planning, grocery shopping, cooking and cleaning, assistance with time management and organization and more so that students learn real-life skills and routines.

Young adults with Asperger’s syndrome, ADHD, NLD and other Learning Differences have the unique opportunity to practice their newly found skills in a fun and supportive environment during CIP’s two week Summer Programs.
January 2016 – The Mploy Job Readiness Program is designed for young adults with ASD and LD ages 18 to 26 who are interested in entering the workforce and transitioning to independent living. Participants develop employment readiness skills, learn self-advocacy, develop friendships and take part in activities designed to help them prepare for their future. Limited space is available.
