Jasmine Strange, B.S.

Jasmine Strange brings over 26 years of experience in education and a deep passion for empowering others to her role as Life Skills and Wellness Coordinator at CIP. She holds a B.S. in Allied Health Professions/Kinesiology with a minor in Public Speaking from the University of Illinois at Chicago.

For the past 11 years, Jasmine has worked extensively within the neurodivergent community through positions at Spectrum Schools (NPS) and the Pittsburgh Unified School District. Her dedication and impact have been recognized by students, who voted her “New Teacher of the Year” in 2004 and “Most Inspirational Teacher” in 2023.

Jasmine’s diverse professional background includes time as a Chicago police officer, Vice President of her police academy class, and head women’s basketball coach at Loyola University. A former collegiate and PRO-AM player, she was captain of her team at UIC and played during the era just before the formation of professional women’s basketball leagues.

Outside of education, Jasmine is a published author and creative spirit. Her works include Uncommon Grace and S.C.O.R.E., with a forthcoming book titled The Lyrical Cadences of JAZZ! She is also a singer, writer, and proud mother of two musically gifted children: Lyric, a jazz musician graduating from Howard University, and Cadence, a classical musician studying at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music.

Jasmine is thrilled to join the CIP team, drawn to its mission and values. She believes in nurturing the potential of every individual and creating inclusive spaces where all feel seen, heard, and empowered. Jasmine looks forward to building meaningful connections with students, families, and staff, and helping the community reach its full potential.
