Elaine has worked in the field of Office Administration for over 12 years serving as a Refugee Support Officer & Family Caseworker for a local government organization in the U.K. In her role, she helped individuals and families access housing, healthcare & education while additionally running a tight ship as an administrative officer and service coordinator. Her team were successful in achieving several department awards within Leeds City Council & due to their achievements, the Leeds Asylum & Refugee Service was modeled throughout the country.
As an Office Manager at CIP Berkeley, Elaine supports staff and students with the day to day running of the center. A typical day would see Elaine multi-tasking between various projects and assignments to meet the daily business demands of the center. Her ability to organize, communicate, plan and support ensures that the staff and students have everything they need to be successful in the program. Elaine holds a BA in Film & Photography from Sheffield Hallam University in the U.K. Since then, she has received a wide range of education and training in areas such as mental health, counseling and health & safety and is currently studying to become a Microsoft Office Specialist.
In her spare time, Elaine enjoys cooking, hiking, traveling, yoga and loves music and film. She likes to see live music on a regular basis and escapes to the countryside whenever possible.
