Alexa Almanzar has worked in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and Student Success Coaching for five years as a case manager and student advisor. She began her career in the ABA field, where she developed a strong foundation in behavior analysis principles and techniques.
Over the years, she has worked with diverse populations, including children and young adults with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, and other behavioral challenges. As a Student Success Coach, Alexa has empowered students to achieve their academic and personal goals, through personalized coaching sessions, developed academic improvement plans, and offered strategies for time management, study skills, and goal setting.
As a Student Advisor, Alexa mentors CIP’s young men and women by guiding weekly goal setting, tracking progress, teaching money management, and ensuring active involvement in their program. She supports financial budgeting, resolves conflicts, and promotes independence through weekly meetings. Alexa collaborates closely with students, parents, and CIP staff for a comprehensive support experience.
Alexa has earned a bachelor’s degree from Palm Beach Atlantic University in Palm Beach, Florida, and is committed to continuous professional development. She is dedicated to fostering positive change and helping individuals succeed in all aspects of their lives.
Outside of working at CIP, Alexa enjoys reading romance novels and psychological thrillers, going to the beach or pool with her family, and visiting botanical gardens. Movies are another passion, with favorites spanning action, thrillers, musicals, comedies, and Disney films. As a big Disney fan, she loves visiting the parks, especially in cooler weather.
