Strong social skills play an important role in helping young adults succeed across many areas of life, from careers and academics to relationships and greater independence.

In this webinar, Kellen Gilbert, Assistant Program Director at CIP Brevard, shares how CIP helps students identify, practice, and strengthen the social skills they need to navigate everyday situations and build meaningful connections.

The webinar explores the practical ways CIP teaches social skills through 1:1 support, small groups, community-based experiences, social events, and everyday interactions. Families will also learn about tools and strategies used at CIP, including SODA, HALT, the Donkey Rule, and the PEERS Curriculum, and how these approaches can be adapted and used at home.

Whether your young adult is working on communication, relationships, self-awareness, or navigating social situations more independently, this webinar offers practical insights that families can use beyond the CIP environment.
