Wesley Carter, MBA, Ed.D.

With over 12 years of experience architecting the bridge between education and industry, complemented by more than 20 years of coaching hockey, soccer, and tennis across all levels—from youth programs starting at age four through varsity and adult competition—he is driven by a singular mission: to equip students with the skills, credentials, and confidence to excel in high-demand careers. This dual perspective as both an educator and a coach has instilled in him a deep understanding that development, whether in the classroom, on the field, or in the workplace, requires patience, strategy, and a commitment to meeting individuals where they are while pushing them toward their highest potential. His work is strategically focused on the sectors shaping the economy—including advanced manufacturing, healthcare, cybersecurity, engineering, business, education, and social services—ensuring that educational pathways are directly aligned with workforce needs. He has had the privilege of guiding hundreds of students through the critical transition from classroom to career by forging strategic alignments between academic curricula and industry-recognized credentials. Central to his educational philosophy is the conviction that true career readiness cannot be taught from a textbook alone; it demands immersion. He champions experiential learning through robust internships, mentorships, and hands-on opportunities, ensuring students don’t just learn about a field—they learn in the field.

He holds an MBA from American International College (2015) and is currently a Doctoral Candidate (Ed.D.) at Northeastern University (Spring 2026), where his research continues to advance the future of workforce education. He currently serves as an adjunct professor at AIC, where he teaches athletic administration and leadership courses to undergraduate students.

As the Assistant Program Director, he is committed to strengthening operational excellence by streamlining processes and elevating the student experience through strategic program enhancements. A central focus of his work will be cultivating new partnerships with industry leaders and community organizations to expand access to high-quality internships, mentorships, and career-focused learning opportunities. His goal is to equip students with transformative experiences that not only set them apart from their peers but fundamentally alter the trajectory of their lives—empowering them to build meaningful careers and achieve lasting success. He strives to establish himself as a trusted, reliable leader whom administration, staff, and students can depend on to drive sustainable impact.

Outside of CIP, he’s devoted father to his children, he runs a youth soccer organization, and enjoys spending time at the beach, playing golf and tennis, and traveling.
