Marina Atef, B.A.

Marina Atef has worked in the field of psychology and mental health since 2021, with experience supporting children, adolescents, and adults across diverse settings. She has served as a Behavior Technician, Research Assistant, and Youth Mentor, gaining expertise in developmental psychology, holistic care, and culturally responsive practices. Marina previously found success working with community-based organizations, youth programs, and clinical training sites, where she supported wellness programming, facilitated outreach, and provided mentorship to individuals navigating unique challenges.

As a Student Support Specialist at CIP, Marina helps neurodiverse young adults build skills for independence, confidence, and career readiness by providing individualized support, resources, and guidance through the Careers Department. She collaborates with students to develop professional skills, explore vocational opportunities, and prepare for meaningful employment. Marina has earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with minors in Child Development & Family Studies and Gerontology from California State University, Long Beach, and she is currently pursuing her Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology at Pepperdine University.

When she’s not at CIP, Marina enjoys going on long walks, listening to music, and attending concerts. She also loves spending time with friends and family, watching movies, and practicing yoga as ways to relax and recharge.
