Alex received her BA in Sociology and Education from the University of California, Santa Cruz. She began her career in education in 2013 as a student-teacher at a continuation school and has held a variety of roles since, including humanities teacher and Director of Admissions and Outreach. She developed a passion for working in alternative education in roles specifically dedicated to community outreach and admissions.
As a National Enrollment Specialist, Alex increases community awareness about the program and assists potential families throughout the admissions process. She is oftentimes the first point of contact for families interested in learning more about the program and helps them make an informed decision about the next steps for their young adults’ future.
When she is not conducting outreach and admissions business, Alex spends much of her time in Santa Cruz and Monterey counties visiting her family and friends. She also loves to explore parks with her partner and their beloved dachshund mix, Roxy.
