The Independence Award Scholarship strives to help keep education within reach by providing financial support in the form of scholarships to qualifying students. Qualifying students meet CIP’s admissions criteria, have been accepted to CIP’s Full Year Program, and are either economically disadvantaged or of minority heritage, including but not limited to Black, African-American, Asian, South Asian, Middle Eastern, Pacific Islander, Latinx, Chicanx, Native American, and multiracial.
Recognizing the need for greater diversity, equity, and inclusion, the Independence Award aims to provide greater opportunity and access to those who wish to enroll in the College Internship Programs Full Year Program offering.
The CIP Independence Award Scholarship supports individuals’ success by helping students achieve a personalized education and invest in a better future. Established in 2021, CIP’s Independence Award Scholarship is committed to providing a limited number of up to $19,000 annual scholarships to qualified new and returning Full Year Program students.
All Independence Award applicants must meet the following eligibility criteria:
Interested applicants must apply by the preceding April 30th of the program year. The window for applying is between January 1st and April 30th annually. Applicants must have previously applied and been accepted to CIP’s Full Year Program. An online scholarship application form must be submitted in full to be considered eligible for an award. The application form is available at the bottom of this page.
