Alyssa McLean has worked in the field of disabilities for almost a decade as a lead teacher at a private school for students with disabilities, a Vocational Rehabilitation counselor, and now as a Clinician.
Alyssa holds her Master’s program in Rehabilitation Counseling from George Washington University in Washington D.C. and is a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC). She previously found success working with students and young adults to achieve greater independence and obtain gainful employment. As a Clinician at CIP, Alyssa assists students along their Continuum of Growth.
Alyssa helps guide and mentor the young men and women at CIP by facilitating goal-setting and self-assessment processes, providing a connection with each student through her abilities to build rapport, trust, mutual understanding, and positive regard and help all students reframe obstacles into opportunities. When she’s not at CIP, you can find her at home with her kids and husband. She also enjoys the beach and boating, as well as going to amusement parks
