Michael has worked in Management and Administration for more than 15 years within Human / Social Services and Higher Education, serving those in need of alternative support. He started his work with CIP in July 2015 as the Program Director for the Long Beach Center. He was promoted to Regional Director in 2016 and then to Director of Program Operations in 2019 and promoted again to the role of West Coast Director of Operations in 2023.
His success at CIP comes from a strong background in Organizational Development, Assessment, and Training. His vast experience in Mental Health and Higher Education as Director and Dean has provided him with a wide range of skills to support CIP students, families, and staff.
As a West Coast Director of Operations, Michael supports the Centers through his leadership in staff recruitment and development, as well as ensuring quality services are provided in a consistent and compliant manner. Michael also serves as Chairperson for CIP’s Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging Council. He has been leading students and staff and coordinating logistics for international trips to destinations such as Barcelona, Costa Rica, and Edinburgh as part of CIP’s Global Engagement Program for the past four years.
Michael has earned a M.Ed. in Psycho-Educational Processes from Temple University in Philadelphia, PA where he was born and raised. He recently earned his Instructor Certification from the Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) and is certifying all CIP staff in Crisis Prevention and De-Escalation.
When he’s not at one of our CIP Centers, you can find him enjoying the beach, hiking, and maybe even going on an extreme adventure.
