Jonathan joined CIP Berkeley after graduating from high school and currently studies at Laney College in the Bay Area. Jonathan is utilizing creative strategies to overcome the challenges of completing his studies online. Upon a last update, he was achieving A’s in his classes.
Jonathan works as a part-time member at the T.J Maxx in Alameda, CA. While working, he is a greeter, works the floor, and the back room. He is currently working on becoming a cashier. Jonathan has worked there for over 3 years.
In the past, Jonathan had worked as an intern at a deaf and hard of hearing preschool where he had the opportunity to teach and play with children by using sign language and verbal communication techniques. He also served as the Vice President of CIP’s Student Council where his responsibilities included launching new clubs.
His advice for someone considering a program like CIP: “The more you put into the program, the more you will get out of it…know what you want to achieve and go for it.”
CIP Berkeley is very proud of all of Jonathan’s success. “I’m looking forward to getting my driver’s license, transferring to a four-year university/college and living off-campus in my own apartment,” Jonathan shared.
