Thomas worked in education in various capacities, primarily with individuals who have Learning Differences. They were an original Peer mentor at their college in a Support program for students with ASD. For a year, they were clinician at Lindamood-Bell in Newton, MA, where Thomas. taught students with a variety of learning profiles how to read, spell, and comprehend what they were reading. Their most recent time spent was at camp Akeela as a cabin counselor and Dungeons and Dragons specialist, working with 15-17-year-old boys with ASD and teaching life skills and executive functioning.
As a Life Skills Coach at CIP, Thomas helps Jay and the rest of the Life Skills team guide students to reach independent and life skill success/es. Thomas hopes to grow professionally within teaching life skills and continue to hone their skills in meeting people where they are at and understanding what they need to be successful. Thomas has earned A Bachelor’s degree of Art in Early Elementary Education with a minor in Creative Writing from Champlain College in Burlington, VT.
When they are not working, you can find them writing about and developing their fantasy world, being creative, or otherwise playing RPGs with their friends.
