Hunter has worked in the field of education for two years as a Music Teacher/Mentor and Social Skills Coordinator. He has a proven track record in helping students thrive. His work has focused on leveraging social environments to foster genuine self-expression and build organic connections among students. Hunter has successfully developed and implemented strategies that enable students to improve their social skills and confidence, both inside and outside the classroom.
As a Social Skills Coordinator at CIP, Hunter supports students in building valuable and meaningful relationships by facilitating social outings, managing groups to encourage social interactions, and leading modules focused on advocacy and conversational skills. Hunter has earned a Bachelor’s degree from UC San Diego in La Jolla, California. While there, Hunter worked as the Communications Lead and Facility Supervisor, leading a team of students to provide an exceptional recreational experience. Additionally, Hunter also spent time as a music research assistant, spearheading a dive into the UC San Diego archives, where he researched the history of the UC San Diego Music Department.
When Hunter’s not supporting students in reaching their social goals, you can find him surfing or practicing music. He plays guitar, bass, piano, drums, and is well-versed in production.
