Gabriel Botello has worked in education since 2018 as a waste reduction educator, teaching assistant, and tutor. He previously found success working for a high school in Berkeley that helped to encourage and guide students with learning differences to become the best version of themselves. Being able to take part in students’ journeys and help scaffold their learning experience has been an enriching experience for him.
As a Life Skills Coach at CIP, Gabriel helps students achieve a greater understanding of collaboration and managing responsibilities through teaching modules dedicated to executive functioning, housekeeping, cooking, managing a shared living space, and more. Gabriel has earned a bachelor’s in psychology from the University of California, Santa Cruz where he lived for 3 years. He has been volunteering to help seniors and homeless individuals since 2016, at local organizations.
When he’s not teaching modules to students, you can find him hiking on one of the many beautiful trails in the Bay Area, petting the nearest dog he can find, or watching classic films with friends.
