Elaine has worked in the field of social work and office administration for over 12 years serving as a Refugee Support Officer & Family Caseworker for a local government organization in the U.K. In her role, she helped individuals and families access housing, healthcare & education services while additionally running a tight ship as an administrative officer and service coordinator.
Elaine started at CIP Berkeley as administrative assistant and then office manager where she supported staff and students with the day to day running of the center. Now as a student advisor at CIP, Elaine supports students to meet their customized goals and gain independence. She enjoys encouraging others to recognize their potential while assisting them on their path to growth. Elaine holds a BA in Film & Photography from Sheffield Hallam University in the U.K. Since then, she has received a wide range of education and training in areas such as mental health and counseling skills, and recently received certification in MS Office.
In her spare time, Elaine enjoys cooking, hiking, traveling, yoga and loves music and film. She also has a dedicated meditation practice that she follows and practices twice daily.
