Vernadine De Jesus has worked in the field of Psychology as a former Program Coordinator at a non-profit organization working with transitional-aged homeless youth, and now as a Student Support Specialist for CIP Long Beach. She previously found success working with young adults in need of advocacy as well as any mental health resources and support.
As a Student Support Specialist at CIP, Vernadine helps young adults practice and sharpen their independence by providing apartment supports in maintaining cleanliness, organization, and emphasizing the importance of self-awareness in any given environment. Vernadine will be earning her Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology & MFT this coming May form California State University, Dominguez Hills in the city of Carson, California. She plans to pursue her license in MFT shortly after her graduation, as well as pursue a doctoral degree in the future.
When she is not fulfilling her duties at CIP, you can find her teaching Yoga, Pilates, and other forms of Group Exercise classes at the gym and other venues. She loves to try new experiences such as new restaurants, go to different art galleries, as well as staying active by exploring different hiking trails with her friends while bringing her dog along. She also loves being creative and expressing her creativity by painting, drawing, taking occasional dance classes of different genres at local dance studios.
