Shayna has worked in the field of behavioral health for nearly 15 years and joins CIP as a Student Advisor. She has experience with all types of individuals of varying ages but specializes in assisting children, young adults, and students with special needs and their families. Shayna has previously found success in providing various services to these individuals, including case management, behavior support, individual and group therapy, vocational training, admissions, and advisement.
As a Student Advisor at CIP, Shayna helps guide students along their path towards independence by offering assistance with communication, problem solving, decision making, and banking/budgeting. She also works with students on goal setting and progress monitoring. Maintaining meaningful communication between students, parents, CIP staff, and other professionals is also a key component Shayna works on with students to increase their success while at CIP. She earned a Master of Science in Education degree from the College of St. Rose in Albany, NY. Shayna also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from St. John Fisher College in Rochester, NY.
Shayna spends her free time enjoying all of the beauty (and fun!) Florida has to offer. This includes going to the beach, seashell hunting, sunset chasing, swimming, and kayaking. She loves exploring new places and taking road trips. Shayna also enjoys relaxing with her two mischievous rescue cats, Monster and Bentley.
