Sarah Hennessy, M.S.

Sarah Hennessy has worked in the field of Special Education for over six years as an emotional/social skills tutor and Special Educator. She previously found success working towards student’s goals, both big and small, by focusing on students’ strengths and interests. Sarah loves to support students in discovering what tools they need to be successful. Her proudest educational accomplishment consisted of developing a social skills curriculum that is still in place today at the first school she taught at.

As a student advisor at CIP, Sarah supports students as they progressively meet their individualized goals and gain greater independence towards living a happy, healthy and autonomous life. She believes that collaboration, motivation and positivity are some of the keys to inspiring growth. Sarah has earned her Master of Science in Disability Services in Higher Education from CUNY School of Professional Studies and her Bachelor of Science in Special Education from Loyola University Chicago.

When Sarah’s not advising at CIP, you can find her at a concert, cooking, traveling or by the ocean with friends and family.
