Josie Everett

Josie has worked in the field of development for over two years as a life skills coach and camp counselor. They were a camp counselor at CIP as well as a summer camp in Hunt, Texas. Before coming to CIP, Josie worked at a daycare for children who come from domestic and sexual violence backgrounds. On top of their work, Josie is in the process of earning their bachelor’s in clinical psychology with minors in statistics and sociology from Indiana University – Bloomington.

As a life skills coach at CIP, Josie assists with teaching students independent living skills, such as cooking and cleaning. Part of how they conduct their role at CIP is by holding private sessions with the students where they discuss their goals and work on various tasks relating to executive functioning.

When they’re not teaching students, you can find them reading many books, conducting research in the field of neuroscience, such as the role of endocannabinoids in the nervous system, skating around town, and learning how to play bass guitar.
