Jennifer has worked in the field of Post-Secondary Education and Administration for nearly a decade as a disability rights advocate and counselor. She started her work with CIP in August 2013 as a student support specialist. Jennifer has risen through the ranks from advisor to administration and was promoted to Program Director in 2016. Along the way, she developed programs, streamlined services, and eliminated barriers for families seeking services in their community for their children.
She previously found success working for California State University, Long Beach (CSULB) as a student liaison supporting students navigate the University’s disabled student services system. Her experience in higher education and background in public policy has provided her the tools and skillset to support CIP students, families, and staff.
Jennifer has earned a Master’s Degree in Public Policy and Teaching from California State University, Long Beach and is a member of the National Honor Society Phi Kappa Phi ranking in the top 10 percent of her class. She holds certifications in leadership, organizational management, and secondary education.
When Jennifer is not working with staff and families, you can find her on the playground with her son or exploring the outdoors. Jennifer enjoys spending time with her family, traveling and the beach life.
