Isabel begins her career in the health and human services field with CIP Long Beach as a Student Support Specialist. Prior to this role, she worked as an intern and gained experience by shadowing, observing and contributing in various departments, including careers, academics, life and social skills. She was so inspired by staff’s dedication and commitment to each student that she was determined to follow in their steps and become an essential asset to students.
Isabel graduated from West City College where she obtained her A.A degree in Psychology. She is continuing her education at Cal State Fullerton University to obtain her bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a minor in Human Services. Isabel is also in the process in applying to programs which will prepare her for graduate school.
Isabel has a desire to work with young adults at a pivotal age that requires support, understanding and motivation. As a Student Support Specialist she is able to demonstrate her gained experience to students, provide guidance for each unique individual, assist them in social opportunities, and overcome personal obstacles.
Outside of CIP, Isabel enjoys hiking, recreational activities and reading. She is also involved in psychological clubs that will enhance her knowledge to counsel young individuals.
