Gemma has worked in the field of higher education supporting young adults with learning differences for over five years as a Summer Bridge Intern, Academic Coach Intern, and as a Paraeducator. She previously found success supporting young adults in goal setting, with time management, and by helping them navigate academic progress within higher education.
As a Student Support Specialist at CIP, Gemma helps guide young adults with life skills by teaching them tasks including how to cook, grocery shop, roommate etiquette, and how to clean their living space. Gemma has earned a Master’s Degree in Counseling: College Student Services from Saint Mary’s College of California in Moraga, California. She also received her Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Studies with a minor in Psychology from CSU East Bay, in Hayward, California. Gemma also received her Life Coach Certification from the Life Coach Training Institute.
When she’s not working with students, you can find her spending time with her family and friends, going on day adventures, or visiting a pop-up museum.
