Jake Steinmetz has a master’s degree in Special Education and has spent the last fifteen years as a school administrator and teacher. He received a bachelor’s degree in English and Journalism Education from Indiana University, a master’s degree in Special Education from Indiana University and an administrative license from Indiana University – Purdue University Indianapolis.
For a large part of his career his work within schools has been focused on leading special education departments and creating strong partnerships with families to help students reach their highest potential. He has spent the last nine years working as an assistant principal within several elementary schools and as a teacher of English and journalism at the high school level.
Jake helps students successfully manage their social skills through individual and group settings enhancing their abilities inside and out of the school setting. He has helped empower students to problem solve, make better choices, and self-advocate for themselves.
He enjoys spending time with his wife and three kids, reading, traveling, photography and anything related to sports.
