Liz Gray is an integral and dynamic part of the C.I.P. Volleyball team. The volleyball team is comprised of 9 dedicated CIP athletes that show up consistently and work hard. The students devote two hours of their Sunday every week for practice and drills and compete in a recreational league in Pittsfield, MA every Tuesday. In addition, they have all taken extra time to act as referees for other games.
Throughout the course of the semester, the students have shown vast improvements in their skill level, their knowledge of the game, and how well they play the game. These improvements could not have occurred without the tenacity and commitment of players such as Liz Gray. She has been on the team since the beginning of the CIP league (almost two years) and has proven herself to be both an asset as a consistent athlete who puts forth determined effort every time but also as a role model.
Liz keeps her spirit up and encourages others even when the team is struggling. She has assisted in leading drills and has worked one-on-one with students who have been challenged by a particular skill set that she excels at. It has been a delight to see her grow as a leader. She is a well rounded and inspiring part of the volleyball team and is dedicated to staying fit and active.
