This summer Bloomington Center students worked with CIP Art Instructor to make this presentation of short animated clips.
Students paired up and worked independently to come up with the background design and thematic content.
After students presented their individual Person Centered Plans, Powerpoint presentations about their personal histories and goals for the next year and beyond, they were able to see their creations animated for the first time projected on the big screen.
Because there were so many short segments, we watched the video a second time pausing between segments for the students to explain their thoughts and approach for each animation. The students are planning on making a “Director’s Commentary” to the video in the fall, and have already started planning how to improve upon the animations by increasing the frame rate to 20-30 frames per second and by creating a cohesive storyline they could collaborate on together.
