Here at the Bloomington Center we hold our social thinking groups in our fellow student’s apartments, including mine. Doing this allows for variety and a more personal and comfortable group setting. We rotate apartments every week so that everyone can have a chance to host the group.
When hosting the group you must be sure to provide a clean place and some food and drink. Although this takes a little planning before hand – most of the time it works out great. I like having the group in the apartment because it’s just more fun that way! It’s more like a natural gathering rather than a formal class. It also is good practice for when we want to have people over on our own.
