To wind down the summer term and celebrate the last potluck of the term, the students chose to have a pool party potluck. The theme for the potluck was “County Fair” and the students brought a wide variety of dishes from snow cones, caramel apple turnovers, wontons, and Cuban corn on the cob. The best dish of the day though belonged to Michael Doerr who made homemade corn dogs. The students really enjoyed the item and there were no leftovers. This is a great accomplishment, plus, this week, he was the top chef of potluck, and this great boost of confidence was a wonderful way to end the summer term here at CIP Long Beach.
