Summer at the Brevard Center is hot and humid, perfect for the beach or exploring the wonders of Florida. Whether it’s the fireworks on July 4th or the launch of Space Shuttle Endeavour, there is always something exciting going on.
For students who find walking on the beach too tame, the attractions in Central Florida provide a more adventurous way to spend some time. Students visited both Gatorland, the “Alligator Capital of the World,” and Sea World. Closer to home, students organized game and movie nights at the Brevard Center and socialized at local restaurants.
Still to come this summer is an excursion to Discovery Cove in Orlando, where students can swim with the dolphins, and our annual Field Day and Drama Club presentation.
