Students from the Bloomington Center spent three hours of their Saturday helping to improve and maintain the trail systems of RCA Community Park. Students learned to identify and cut down invasive plant species as well as remove an abundance of trash!
The Bloomington Center participates in the Adopt-a-Trail Program that involves conserving and maintaining the natural wealth and beauty of Bloomington Parks and Recreation’s trail system. Students visit their designated site, RCA Community Park, once a month to observe and send in a report on the status of the park. They participate in longer, scheduled Saturday work days about twice a year.
