By Jennifer Kolarik, CIP Brevard Career Coordinator
Each semester, Brevard Center students perform 10 or more hours of community service. Many thanks to our students who recently volunteered to help out at the Holy Name of Jesus (HNJ) Fall Festival: Andrew, Rashid, Dodge, Zachary, Taylor Brookins, Peter, Charlie, Ross, Thomas, and Peter S.
Raising over $60,000 each year in support of the HNJ school, the annual festival offers carnival rides, great food, entertainment and more to the community. On October 15th, students helped with the festival set-up. A group of our students then returned on Oct. 23rd to help safely direct families and vehicles as they entered and departed the festival.
The festival volunteer coordinator was very impressed by our students and praised them for doing a great job. Students have also volunteered this semester for the Space Coast Music Festival, Brevard Community College Disability Awareness Day, and Harmony Farms. Keep up the great work!
