This past spring semester, Sam worked hard on his school work and earned above average grades in both his classes. He also gave a speech this year at Convocation, won an award for his community service hours, and has been involved in Student Council. Sam has also increased his hours this summer at his internship where he works with youth in an after-school program.
The students really enjoy the fun activity ideas Sam brings to them and they have learned from him as well. Some of the highlights include: teaching them about Hanukkah and dreidels, putting together a flag football game right before the Superbowl, organizing a Christma-Hanu-Kwanza-kkah party during the holiday time, and organizing a March madness activity where each student was affiliated with a team in the tournament. Sam also brought the NCAA Basketball brackets to CIP and has been instrumental in creating staff vs. students team games in basketball ….and a softball game is planned for later in the summer so stay tuned to see how it goes!
