This semester, several students have been doing a great job with their internships/volunteer positions. They all work really hard and take pride in what they do.
For instance, at the YMCA, Sam Newman is always willing and happy to help others. He enjoys reading and drawing with the children and continues to bring this level of engagement with the children to other areas of play, both in Kindergym and Childwatch (the departments he volunteers in).
Sam has been doing really great job with the YMCA. He has improved a great deal since the beginning of the fall semester. He works with the special needs children and really enjoys it. He has been working on gaining different skills that will lead him to employment.
Brendan Kunz is doing really great at St. Vincent de Paul, where he assists in serving the homeless. He is improving on initiating work on his own. He attends carefully to job duties that he is to perform. He is also well respected by fellow volunteers and staff. He’s doing a great job overall.
Kaitlyn Finn, a Mentor to students with asperger’s with Spectrum Schools, has a willingness to go beyond what is expected by volunteering her time every week. She enthusiastically provides mentoring to two girls in the program. She really enjoys what she does, and feels it is very rewarding.
These are just a few examples of some of our students and how great of a job they are doing. All the students here at CIP have been very diligent, committed, and enthusiastic about helping others. They are all doing an outstanding job here at CIP! Way to go CIP students!!!!
