Last weekend, five Brevard Center students and one staff member, Savannah Vice, volunteered in the concession stands at the Washington Nationals spring training game (against the Miami Marlins). Afterward, the volunteer coordinator Val Citta said “I cannot thank you enough for sending Savannah and the students to help. They were all fantastic and required very little oversight. They really operated well as a team. They were absolutely a great group to work with!” This was the first time our students participating in this type of community service activity at the Space Coast Stadium. The students really enjoyed working in the Dippin’ Dots and Sweet Spot concession areas assisting with food serving and working the cash register. Definitely a home run!
