Rebecca joined CIP Berkshire in August 2015 as the Social Skills Coordinator. She received her M.Ed. in Counseling Psychology from Fordham University and has enjoyed a wide-ranging career. Shortly after graduation she worked with inner-city youth at Lehman High School in the Bronx as a Prevention Specialist. She was also an Academic and Personal Counselor at Berkeley College in New York, and a Resource Teacher at the Good Hope School in St Croix, USVI. Prior to moving back to the North East she was a Guidance Counselor with the Austin Independent School District in Texas for eight years. She has taught a variety of college courses as adjunct faculty at Berkeley College, University of the Virgin Islands, and Community College of Vermont. She is a passionate youth advocate and believes that all students deserve meaningful, creative, and empowering educational opportunities.
Rebecca enjoys spending time with friends and family. She loves animals, traveling, swimming, hiking, and yoga. She also loves to compose and perform music as a singer/songwriter, guitar, banjo and harmonica player.
