Hannah joined the College Internship Program in May 2014 as a student advisor. In January 2015, Hannah assumed the position of Academic Coordinator.
In the course of Hannah’s academic travels, she has held a variety of academic positions. As a graduate student, she taught college courses in subjects like journalism, psychology, and general research writing. She has tutored ELD students in writing in Los Angeles high schools, taught oral and written English to Indonesian students in the province of Papua, and counseled university undergraduates at a crisis hotline in Colorado.
At all levels of the educational system, Hannah has observed students with learning differences struggling or being left behind for reasons unrelated to their true knowledge, intelligence, and drive. Hannah is passionate about the life-changing potential of a good education, and wants that potential to be accessible to everyone. By working directly with CIP’s population, she hopes to help give her students the extra tools they need to succeed academically.
Outside of work, Hannah’s most prominent hobby is eating and writing about food. (She is always taking requests for restaurant recommendations!) She also enjoys racquetball, rock climbing, composing music, decoding traffic patterns, and reading nonfiction.
