“Autism at Work”, an autism awareness event held in the Council Chambers of City Hall in Bloomington on Thursday April 30th, 2015 focused on educating the community about the benefits of hiring adults with autism.
Jenny Austin (above left) works with Indiana Vocational Rehabilitation. She presented Work4LifeIN, a campaign that strives to bring awareness to the importance of employment for people with disabilities throughout the state.
Adria Nassim (above center) is a CIP alum. She shared her perspective on the unique challenges that autism brings to the work world.
Jennifer Halloran (above right) teaches social skill instruction to young adults with high-functioning autism and other learning differences at Milestones, a division of Stone Belt. Halloran discussed teaching on-the-job social skills to employees with autism.
