We check in with Dr. McManmon, founder of the College Internship Program, international speaker, artist, and aspie extraordinaire to get the latest scoop on his whereabouts.
Dr. McManmon was spotted in San Rafael, California presenting Understanding the Postsecondary Needs of Students with ASD at the Marin Autism Lecture Series.
The Marin Autism Lecture Series is run by Karen Kaplan, an educational consultant in the bay area who sits on the board of the Marin Autism Collaborative (MAC). MAC grew out of a county wide effort, and exists to identify the current services in ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorders) in Marin County and the current gaps in services to families, professionals and consumers with ASD.Dr. McManmon is pictured above with Karen Kaplan.
While in California, Dr. McManmon had the pleasure of meeting up with Michael McDonald, while visiting the new Oak Hill School campus.
Oak Hill provides an academic and therapeutic program for children from kindergarten through adolescence who have challenges in language processing, sensory integration and/or socialization.
It’s back to Massachusetts to tend to matters at the Berkshire Center regarding the new home of the Berkshire Center offices before catching a plane to Florida’s Brevard Center.
I guess some people just can’t stay in one place for too long…
