March 6th, 2013 – CIP presented it’s free ongoing panel event series: “Thinking Positive About The Future: Insight Into College, Employment and Independence for Young Adults on the Autism Spectrum and with Learning Differences”.
The panel events series started in 2012 in Berkeley, California to a sold out crowd of parents and professionals, and are scheduled to take place in 2013 in Toronto, Boston, Orlando, and other major cities. The event provides an overview of post-secondary options for young adults with Asperger’s, High Functioning Autism, ADHD, NLD and other Learning Differences.
Several guest speakers who work with the ASD and LD community offer advice on the key stages of transition to adulthood including: letting go, adjusting to college, finding success in the workplace, and achieving independence. Watch the full version here, or the individual presentations below:
