By Travis McArthur, CIP Berkshire Residential Coordinator
The Berkshire Center is revving up for the upcoming Spring break trip! This year the students will be able to explore layers of history going back over two thousand years, in magnificent Rome, Italy.
Rome is indeed the eternal city, with such well known destinations as the Coliseum, the Pantheon, the Vatican, all of the town squares and fountains, and many more things to do and see.
The students of CIP will be staying at the Giolli Hotel. With the Giolli Hotel in Rome as a comfortable and convenient base, they can visit all of Rome’s major attractions and most recognized landmarks, allowing them to experience the city’s awe-inspiring beauty, history, and culture. The area around the hotel has a rich selection of restaurants and shops, as well as Rome’s most famous tourist attractions, such as Via Veneto, Villa Borghese, the Spanish Steps and the Trevi Fountain.
There is a host of activities lined up for the students such as a tour of the Vatican, a walk along the beach of Sperlonga, visiting the Spanish steps, a day of discovery in Florence, and many more great attractions. Best of all two CIP staff will be experiencing the trip with the students. We are still in the planning phases of this trip, so other great places and great attractions will be added later.
Arrivederci e grazie.
