Lance Haskins, Health and Wellness Coordinator created a Fitness Challenge for the month of April for the students to work on their fitness levels while challenging themselves to improve. There are several events to choose from for total body conditioning. These are Legs, Arms, Core, Cardio, Balance, and Coordination.
These events will be timed and/or counted for total number of repetitions in each of the 3, 20 second intervals. Students decided which events they participated in each day. Students enjoyed the challenge and showed great effort towards completing each event. Whether they tried to out-do each other or had a conversation about how they did last week, students benefited from structured activity and exercise.
So far, this Fitness Challenge is working and Lance has seen improvement in overall participation as well as in each individual event
