As our Fall programs get underway, I would like to briefly share an update about CIP, including information about some exciting events that will take place over the next few months:
CIP’s six Summer Programs were filled to capacity and packed with fun. High school sophomores, juniors and seniors from across the country had a chance to make new friends while they experienced independence and got a taste of college life.
Our Beyond High School Summer Program for young adults age 18-26 was launched at the Brevard Center in Florida and will expand to all 6 sites next summer.
The Spectrum Playhouse in Lee, MA received rave reviews for their recent production of “I Hate Shakespeare” featuring several talented CIP Berkshire students.
We are hosting Experience CIP Days this Fall on October 4-5 and November 15-16. These new events are geared to help families and professionals learn more about our program and gain insight into supporting the ASD and LD population.
CIP hosted five “Thinking Positive About the Future” events this year, featuring expert panelists from the ASD and LD community. Please let us know if you are interested in participating in one of our 2014 panel events.
In January 2014, we will celebrate CIP’s 30th Anniversary. We will also commemorate our Founder Dr. Michael McManmon’s groundbreaking work and tireless efforts over the last three decades.
Thank you for your continued support as we strive to provide the most comprehensive and innovative programs for teens and young adults with Learning Differences!
