CIP Centers will host their annual Fall Experience Days on Saturday, September 26 at six locations nationwide. The events will provide a unique opportunity to learn about the cutting edge curriculum used in working with young adults age 18-26 who have learning differences. In addition to Experience Days, CIP will also host three Fall workshops featuring internationally recognized experts Dr. George McCloskey, Dr. Michael McManmon and Dr. Stephen Shore.
Prospective families, students, and educational professionals are invited to attend Experience Days, experiential events where attendees can gain an inside look at one of the most comprehensive transition programs in the world. CIP is designed to help young adults with Asperger’s, High Functioning Autism, ADHD, and other learning differences make successful transitions from adolescence to adulthood.
“Our Experience Days provide a relaxed setting where students and families can meet our dedicated staff and amazing students,” commented Dan McManmon, President of CIP. “We look forward to connecting with families and educating our guests about CIP’s comprehensive curriculum and unique programming for young adults with learning differences,” he continued.
A variety of events will take place from 9 AM – 1 PM at each CIP location. Activities will include campus tours, a program overview by department heads, a student panel, and social activities for students. Space is limited for the free events.
In addition to Experience Day events, Dr. George McCloskey is slated to present a full day workshop called Understanding Executive Function Difficulties on September 17 in Bloomington, Indiana. On November 3, Dr. Michael McManmon will host Thinking Positive About The Future for Young Adults With Learning Differences on the Queen Mary ship, and Dr. Stephen Shore will deliver a presentation on November 12 in Lee, Massachusetts entitled Success With Autism.
