Video: Stacy explains some of the gains she made holding internships and jobs, socially with making friends, having roommates and self-advocating, self-regulation and perspective taking; all during her time at CIP Bloomington.
Stacy is wrapping up her first year at CIP Bloomington and has made huge strides in her progress. Currently she is taking a College Prep course at Broadview Learning Center and maintaining an internship at Rachel’s Café.
Even with a pretty dense schedule, Stacy is always looking for more ways to get involved with CIP and the Bloomington community. She has a position on the student senate within CIP and is taking a cooking class. Currently she is exploring the possibility of a soccer club to join as well.
Perhaps one of the biggest strides Stacy has made is the relationships she has built with others in the program. She is a huge part of CIP’s women’s group and is a source of encouragement for the other girls. She keeps me on my toes and is such a joy to work with.
Every week Stacy and I brainstorm ideas of how we can challenge her; I cannot wait to watch the progress and the friendships she makes in the coming terms at CIP.
