Internships are an important part of the CIP experience. Our highly-trained staff provides guidance and support in matching students’ interest or fields of study with their abilities and placing them in appropriate internships. CIP has an initiative for 100% student internship/job placement each enrollment year.
Each CIP location offers a variety of opportunities along with job support groups, helping students with learning differences maximize their work-related experience. Internships help build solid resumes, provide valuable experience and can lead to paid positions in the workforce.
Students love interning at the urban farm, City Slicker Farms, because it gets them out of the classroom, enjoying the sunshine and giving back to the greater Berkeley community. The task they are working on, also their favorite, is sifting the compost to help turn it into soil for all the wonderful fruits and vegetables!
