By Terika Tischer, CIP Berkeley Tutor
On May 25th, 2010, Aaron Samuels graduated from the Vocational Living Skills Program at the College of Alameda. Aaron completed 3 of the 4 semesters of the program and was deemed to be ready to move on earlier than expected.
The graduation ceremony was held at Cardinal Point in Alameda; the graduating class consisted of eight students. During the ceremony, the leader of the program spoke briefly about the accomplishments of every individual. Each of the students was rewarded a certificate to recognize their commencement.
To support Aaron, Terika Tischer, his academic tutor, and Sheryl Meeuwsen, a fellow CIP student, along with his parents were in attendance. It was a wonderful ceremony and we are all extremely proud of Aaron’s accomplishment. Aaron is now looking forward to participating in the Workability Program at the College of Alameda to further prepare for a career.
